Our Diagnostic Solutions
Our scientists are developing a 4th generation rapid diagnostic solution for infectious diseases like HIV 1 and 2. We also plan to create tests for heart attacks and early cancer detection.
We are exploring biomarkers that can accurately detect these diseases. Our goal is to provide a wide range of diagnostic tools for use at home, in research, and in the community.
Lateral Flow Immunoassays (LFIAs)
Our diagnostic tools are LFIAs. A sample of blood, serum, plasma, urine, or saliva is mixed with a buffer and added to the LFIA sample well. As the sample moves through the test cassette, it interacts with reactive substances. These substances include a dyed detection antibody that targets the biomarker in the sample. The sample then interacts with the test line and control line, showing if the disease or infection is present.
Our experienced team of researchers and medical professionals is currently developing rapid test kits for point-of-care use and affordable community screening solutions.
